TOUCH OF MAGIC
I have known David since 1998 when we first approached Solaris Yachts to build our Sunstream 40 Catamaran.
In my observation David was the driving force and quality monitor behind the building of our boat Touch of Magic.
Davis's Standards as a craftsman are second to none and were a continuing example to all working on our project.
Since our boat was commissioned, I have had the opportunity to work with David and see first hand the quality of his craftsmanship. His experience of over 18 years in boat building brings knowledge in the use of modern as well as traditional materials into focus with his skills.
For the last 10 years, David has been self-employed and working on a cost per job basis. This has by necessity concentrated the need to be cost effective as well as attending to quality.
In my opinion, David is one of the most all-round, cost effective and skilful craftsman you will find. It is not only working with wood and grp composites, laying up a hull or finishing a cabinet, but a thorough knowledge of engineering and boat electrics that sets David apart.
