I have known David Skene in his professional capacity as a production manager and quality controller since 1983. In those days David had overall responsibility for the production and quality of Solaris Yachts.

David for work on my 20m 1964 classic ketch.

David has supervised for me (1) the total refurbishment of the timber masts, (2) designed, fabricated and installed interior modifications to bring my vessel up to YBDSA category 0 (trans-ocean charter) (3) production managed a significant major re-fit at Saxon Wharf including ultra high pressure water blasting of the below water hull back to bare steel; complete painting from keel bottom to coach roof; scarfing in Sitka Spruce parts on the 90' main mast; the preparation and CTE coating of the bilges and numerous other jobs.

I have no hesitation in commending David Skene as an efficient production manager and quality controller as well as being a superb craftsman. He is scrupulously honest and is also meticulous in his accounting practices.
