David Skene recently completed for me the entire fit-out of a 42 ft. bare aluminium alloy hull, deck and superstructure unit. The overall fit-out drawings were completed by the boat's designer and I personally prepared the detailed specification, selected materials and items of equipment and managed the entire project. David sourced and ordered all

materials on my behalf and I paid for them direct plus a procurement fee to Skene Yacht Services. I paid Skene Yacht Services a fixed sum for fit-out labour.

This method of working required very close and regular co-operation between myself and David Skene. Overall, it worked extremely well; David was very attentive to my requirements but always ready to suggest a better way of doing things without imposing his ideas too strongly. Whenever problems arose, David had already thought out one or more solutions before advising me of the problem. In most cases he overcame the problem without having to consult me. In this respecthe bore his responsibility extremely well without forever passing off problems to me. David's approach to Customer Relations is excellent; nothing is too much trouble and he has a very constructive and practical approach to translating the customer's ideas and requirements into practice.

David brought to the project and excellent team of experienced shipwrights and the quality of construction and finish just has to be seen to be believed. It is excellent in all respects. He also organised a first class team of part-time technicians to undertake the mechanical, electrical and plumbing work which was also installed to the highest standards.

My boat, Al Shaheen, is constructed to the highest quality and is admired by all who see her. Any of David's future customers are welcome to inspect her, subject to availability and prior arrangement.
